Abstract
Background: The Work from Home (WFH) principle has been developed during by Covid-19 pandemic by the policy. As a new environment, lecturers need to adapt accordingly in the learning and teaching online activities. Working from home, it can become stressful experience among lecturer’s and give impact to their stress level as they need to put more effort to conduct online teaching during the crisis. Some studies reported that when working from home, the high stress may lead to negative factor on the psychological well-being among lecturers. This is due to distraction and responsibilities from work and family at home. While another studies mentioned that, positive factor from work from home will cause lower stress among lecturers as they have more chances to spend more time with work and family without have to waste time and money on food cost and transportation. Objectives: To determine the level of stress among lecturers Universiti Putra Malaysia during movement control order (MCO). Methodology: A total of 100 respondents had participated in the study. The findings in this study showed that the mean ± SD for a total score of level of stress among lecturers is2.230± 0.802 while the mean ± SD for total score work home role conflict and work home environment are 26.260 ± 7.543 and 60.520 ± 13.420 respectively. Analysis done had revealed that there is a significant association between level of stress with work home role conflict (p=0.010). Analysis also showed a significant relationship between the level of stress and work home environment (p=0.007). Expected outcome: To find the factors of work from home (WFH) on stress level among lecturers in UPM whether it severe or not. On the other hand, this study also will be conducted to let lecturers recognize the factors of working from home on psychological well -being.
