Abstract
Introduction: E-learning occupies a high place in universities and academic institutes and it is given the priority by the departments in these educational institutions. However, there is positive and negative students’ perceptions in using E-learning. Objective: To determine the undergraduate students’ perceptions and continuous intention in using E-learning in a public university in Malaysia. Method: This quantitative study used simple random sampling method of using computer-generated randomisation in choosing faculty. Every faculty have 50% probability to be chosen. Students’ perceptions towards E-learning questionnaire will be used and will be distributed online through WhatsApp and Facebook which comprise of 379 respondents of students in Universiti Putra Malaysia. Results: A total of 102 respondents had participated in this study. The findings in this study showed that only 43.7% (n=45) agree to use E-learning in the future, 37.9% (n=39) undecided and 17.5% (n=18) disagree. Majority was female (66%, n=68), age between 19 to 29 (99%, n=102) and 4th year students (35.9%, n=37). There was associations between undergraduate students’ perceptions and continuous intention on using E-learning (p=0.000). Conclusion: Majority of the respondent choose hybrid learning (61.2%, n=63) in the future and most and them are willing to study through any of the classroom learning modes in the future and not to continue their studies through the fully Elearning.
