Abstract
Covid-19 is the infectious disease caused by the most recently discovered coronavirus. This new virus and disease were unknown before the outbreak began in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. According to the previous severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) as well as H1N1 experience, anticipation and lack of knowledge of the new pandemic may have impact on relevant public health behaviors such as wearing a face mask in public spaces, which could play an important role in the control of this outbreak. This study investigates face mask usage alongside other associated health behaviours. The aim of our study is to determine face mask usage in reflect to other positive hygiene practices in daily routine life during Covid-19 amongst students and staff of (FMHS), UPM. Online questionnaires forms will be distributed via Whatsapp and email. Participants are needed to complete an online questionnaire that is designed to collect the data on the socio-demographic status, prevalence of wearing face mask and knowledge regarding its usage, knowledge about COVID-19, behaviours towards the disease, precautionary measures being applied during the pandemic to prevent as well as barriers that prevents them from wearing face mask.
