Abstract
Melt quenching was employed to produce the chemical composition of a europium zinc borotellurite glass system series treated with silver oxide of {{[(TeO2)0.7 (B2O3)0.3]0.7 (ZnO)0.3 }0.96 (Eu2O3)0.04 }(1-x) (Ag2O)x where x = 0.0011, 0.0012, 0.0013, 0.0014, and 0.0015 molar fraction. Glass was distinguished using density, molar volume, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and elasticity studies. As the concentration of silver oxide increases, while the molar volume increases, the density will decrease. The glass sample's XRD spectra reveal that it is amorphous. Ultrasonic measurements was used to assess the elastic properties of glass samples of longitudinal and shear velocity. These values are then entered into the equation to determine the Young's modulus of the glass sample.
