Abstract

Polumpung Malangkap View Campsite Kota Belud is blessed with the strategic position where is situated on the banks of the Panataran River in Sabha and offers stunning views of the majestic Mount Kinabalu. However, limited research has investigated the perceived value and quality of small-scale ecotourism areas in Sabah. Previous research reveals that customers are more likely to revisit an ecotourism destination if they perceive the value of the experience, such as the environmental sustainability, authenticity, educational opportunities, and cultural immersion, to outweigh the costs involved. The objective of this research is to access visitor satisfaction of product value of and the intentions to revisit Polumpung Malangkap. This study used a quantitative approach and using a questionnaire as a data collection technique. A total of 203 respondents who were visitors to Polumpung were involved in this study which consisting of 120 males and 83 females. Based on the finding, the overall mean score for the level of visitors perceived product value of customer satisfaction was 4.15. The highest mean score for the product value was 4.36 in term on emotional value and the lowest was 4.00 mean score in term value for money Next, the mean overall intention to perceived product value was 4.17 and the mean score for intention to revisit was 4.20. Correlation analysis found that there was a strong relationship between product value and intention to revisit Polumpung. The recommendation to improve perceived product value and intention to revisit Polumpung is to provide tangible activity for customer. effective promotion method and environmental sustainability. The results of this study will give authorities crucial information for creating ecotourism products that uphold the three key ecotourism tenets of local community, education, and conservation.
