Abstract
A study on the capability usage treated chicken dung as fertilizers to be applied in the prawn pond and to assess the growth rate of prawn, growth performance, survival, and food conversion ratio (FCR) of broiler chicken in an integrated farming system. This study starts with poultry fanning to produce chicken dung. The chicken dung was applied into the pond after the dung has been treated. A total of 400 broiler chickens (Ross) were divided into 4 replications. The stocking density of the chickens is 1 I per meter square each replication. A total of 8260 freshwater prawns (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) were involved and conducted by stocking density of 20 individuals per meter square of 40 kg of treated chicken dung were applied into the pond with capacity 0.08g per meter square. The result of broiler chicken between the cycles shows significant different in the growth performance. Furthermore, the chicken fanning is done successfully. The growth performance for freshwater prawn can not be determined because of the some technical and environmental problems during the experiment progress.
