Conclusion: Sociodemographic characteristics do not influence the knowledge and perception of depression. Furthermore, UPM students have a good knowledge regarding to depression and more than half of the respondents have a negative perception towards depression. However, perception of depression does not dependent on knowledge of depression. As a result, it's critical to improve students' perception of depression.
