Abstract
The high amounts of sugar, starch, and nitrogenous substances in bamboo's tissue make it susceptible to discoloration, decomposition, and insect infestations. Therefore, good preservation measures are necessary. This study aims to assess the long-term resistance of Phenolic-treated Buluh Madu (Gigantochloa albociliata) against white-rot fungi (Pycnoporus sanguineus) using the AWPA E10-16 (2022) standard. Diffusion and impregnation methods were used to treat samples with soaking time for 3,5,7 and 9 days, and double vacuum impregnation for 15,30 and 45 minutes, respectively. The study found that the best treatment conditions for enhancing the decay resistance of Gigantochloa albociliata are diffusion for 5 days or impregnation for 45 minutes using LmwPF resin at 20% concentration.
