Abstract
Mountain climbing is a popular recreational activity that requires readiness and preparation in carrying it out. It also includes an overview of the level of awareness among individuals involved in mountain climbing activities about the importance of being adequately prepared in various aspects. This includes an exploration of the climber's knowledge of the skills, equipment and safety measures essential to navigating challenging terrain. Data were analyzed using descriptive and t-tests and one-way ANOVA. Using a quantitative approach, questionnaires were distributed online aimed at those who had climbed the Gunung Angsi. This survey managed to record a total of 299 respondents. Therefore, this study can also touch on the potential risks associated with insufficient preparation and highlight the need to increase education and awareness in the climbing community. In addition, this study contributes to determine the factors the factors that can attract a person's interest in mountain climbing. In addition, it can look for any existing initiatives or proposals aimed at improving the preparedness of climbers and ensuring a safer and more effective mountaineering experience.
