Abstract
This study assessing the role of tour guide services with the experience tour at The National Elephant Conservation Centre (NECC) in Kuala Gandah, Pahang. Effective communication and interpretation are critical components of the tourism industry's educational and engaging strategies, particularly in environments devoted to wildlife conservation. The study's objectives are to look into the value of tour guide services provided by NECC Kuala Gandah and how these services' quality affects visitors' happiness. In order to better understand the elements that lead to a great visitor experience, the study uses a mixed-methods approach that includes; surveys, interviews, and direct observations. This study describes the importance of tour guide service during their tour at NECC from the view point of visitors. The questionnaire was distributed through an online platform to a total of 200 respondents who had visited Kuala Gandah, Pahang. The results show that the importance of tourist guides in visiting NECC; tourist guide services can help in increasing the understanding of elephant conservation in Kuala Gandah received the highest average score percentage of very agree which is 47.3% while tour guides engaged visitors in activities related to conservation at NECC received the lowest percentage of 35.7%. T-test analysis of the first result found that there was no relationship between gender and visitor satisfaction with the visit experience at the National Elephant Conservation Center. The results of this study show that gender does not affect the satisfaction level of the visitor experience. For the second result, there is a significant level found which is the relationship between marital status and visitor satisfaction with the facilities provided at NECC (p-value = 0.009). The results of this study show that marital status affects the level of visitor satisfaction. Recommendation that can be made are such as promoting the value of the importance of tour guide services on social media. In conclusion, this study can evaluate the importance of the role of tour guide services in visitor visits.
