Abstract
In recent times, camping has become a popular activity among Malaysians regardless of race and age. The increase in participation in camping activities can be observed. The primary motivational factors that influence people to go camping in private land is not clearly known. Therefore, this study was conducted to examine campers’ motivation and its effect on campers’ satisfaction and revisit intention. Based on quantitative approach, 200 questionnaires were distributed to campers at selected Hulu Langat campsites using the convenient sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive and multiple regression analysis. The main findings show the main motivation factor for campers is to relax and to restore. There is a significance influence of the motivation on campers’ satisfaction. Only one motivation influence campers’ satisfaction but no motivational factor significantly influences revisit intention when run by multiple regression analysis. It can be concluded that enjoying scenic beauty are very important factors to campers’ satisfaction. The study able to provide important information to campground operators to provide the best campsite which have beautiful nature attraction. Overall, this thesis aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of camping motivation, satisfaction, and intention to revisit campground, with implications for both academic research and real-world applications.
